The Dominican Republic is one of the 10 most visited countries in 2022, according to Forward
Keys Magazine.
The Dominican Republic raked to the top with 5% more visitors than it received in 2019.
It is also a favorite country for investment, since non-residents and foreigners have access to
local bank
financing.
Punta Cana is the investment destination per excellence.
From January to November 2022 it received 3,708,267* tourists, which represents 72% of the
tourists
visiting the country.
Just in the weeks from December 5th to 11th, 2022 Punta Cana International Airport received 486
flights and according to
the Tourist Ministry, David Collado, this great dynamic will continue throughout the holiday
month.
Punta Cana has one of the largest coasts of white sand in the Caribbean, a total of 29.8 miles
accentuated with
palm trees and see through warm water. Could you think of a better place to just relax and rest
or perhaps, have
an unforgettable family vacation?
As a result of the expansion of tourism and the new visitors that arrive each year to Punta
Cana, the demand for
short-term rental accommodation is growing. Currently, there is a large segment of tourists who
prefer to stay in
fully equipped luxury condominiums/villas instead of a hotel or resort.
Another great advantage that favors investment in this destination is CONFOTUR’s law, new
properties for sale
are exempt from the tax on transfer of real estate rights, that is, 3% of the value of the
property; and, from
the real estate tax (IPI), which is equivalent to 1% of the annual tax that is applied on the
total sum of the
real estate assets during 15 years.
The best time to invest is now!
